Zazie was the daughter of a German cabinet maker in Berlin in Germany, around 1991. Her father is an German cabinet maker who emigrated in the United States in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South Africa-American social worker in New York. She graduated from at the same school as Jennifer Aniston. Beetz studied French in Skidmore College after graduating LaGuardia. The auditions began immediately following graduating college. After a few auditions in Atlanta she was offered the role of Van. Beetz was born in Berlin and grew up with the father of a German American and an African American mother living in New York, spoke both German and English when she lived in her house. Participating in community theaters and local stages since the age of five, Zazie found her joy when she was in the middle school years and began growing up acting. Zendaya was able to land the Disney Channel breakout role thanks to Zendaya's impressive dance abilities. In 2010, the dancer and actress finally landed her breakout role when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show 'Shake It Up', along with the co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya's love of eating meat started at age eleven when she went to a local slaughterhouse during an excursion with her father. PEOPLE claims that Zendaya stated, "I found it horrifying to see all the animals being packed into the slaughterhouse, waiting to be killed." I couldn't believe that's how I'd been getting my food!" Since that time she's been following a strict plant-based eating plan.
