Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My baby crawled around in a playpen while I was working 12-hour shifts, sanding the floor and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! All was starting to take shape, however it wasn't quite finished. The project would require money, effort, as well as my personal favorite to complete the interior of this house. In order to stay within the budget, I started taking my kids to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Our routine was of walking around auctions and garage sales on Saturday and Sunday and purchase a range of pieces old and newly created. My work days were spent at the end of the driveway, working on painting or sanding. It looked a bit like the following... Here's the place where my passion for restoring antique furniture started. After our home was finished, I didn't want to put it down! I rented a booth in the market at my local location and also sold items there. I could outgrow my space because I owned numerous pieces I needed. The house became a venue in which I held open houses where up 1000 people would be able to view the items on the first floor, and then purchase the items. Growing Days was founded in my home. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our family of four. It was a balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. The direction my company was heading was great, but I had to get some down time. I made the decision to take some breaks from my old furniture and slow down to stay at home with the children. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. In the course of a few months, my phone started to ring. I began receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who visited my home at one of my furniture open houses. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients on one at a pace that I felt confident in. Most likely, I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my business was going to be part of a forthcoming tv program that airs on the DIY Network. It's fun to reflect about it.
