My baby crawled around in a playpen while I was working 12-hour shifts, sanding the floor and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! All was starting to take shape, however it wasn't quite finished. In the course of a few months, my phone started to ring. I began receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who visited my home at one of my furniture open houses. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients on one at a pace that I felt confident in. Most likely, I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my business was going to be part of a forthcoming tv program that airs on the DIY Network. It's fun to reflect about it.
