Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors of recent times. Her savacious and flimsy roles have earned her a cult name. She was raised by an unmarried mother, who was a nurse. She became interested in theatre during the holidays with her famous father. Her studies in acting were in Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. Following her graduation at Brown University she started making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. After two years of the time, her debut film came out and the next year she made her television debut. In the years since, she's been in numerous films as well as TV and stage productions. She received many accolades over the course of her career which included the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. But despite the many nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for the theatre isn't gone, and she performs in the stage and on screen.
