Katherine Heigl has revealed that she grew up in a white bubble and how this realization affected the way she raised her adopted, multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recently that, with regards to skin color, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her adopted sister by South Korea she realized just how differently society treats people of different races. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed while they were together with their parents and then when they went alone. She said: 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed everything and I've been there all the time! Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." Her anger grew at the time, and chose to channel her anger into help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four year old son who is married to her 13 year old wife, Josh Kelley. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl they adopted in 2012.
