Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up living in "a White bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on her parenting of adoptees who are multi-racial. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl shared that she did not care about her skin tone, until she came across her adopted sister from South Korea. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and those who went out on her own. Meg responded "Oh yes! All the all the time!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." According to the actor she was angered. However, she wanted to channel her anger into helping her adopted girls. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been married for 13 years. Their daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year old girl that was adopted by the couple in 2012.
