Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a white bubble and how that influenced the way she cared for her adoptive, multiracial kids. In an interview, she said recent interview that, with regards to the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister, who was adopted from South Korea she realized just how differently society treats people of different races. "I wanted to know Meg how she was different when she went out with us parents than when she went out by herself. She replied: 'Oh sure, I was treated the same way all the time!' That made me realize that I was so ignorant," Heigl said to parents. Heigl said she got angry and felt that it was crucial to put the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in the year 2012.
